The detail
Socks fail at the heel and the ball of the foot, so both are knitted at double density here. There is a band across the arch that stops the sock migrating down inside a shoe over a run, which is the single most irritating thing a sock can do. Sold as a three pack because nobody buys one pair, and because a three-pack lets us knit them in one run and price them properly.
